I thought I'd give you a quick update on HauntJaunts.net's progress. I know some of you are interested when it'll finally be launched. (Especially those of you whose stories I accepted. I know you want to know when you'll get paid!)
Hopefully by September 1.
I got a bit off track last month and didn't make the kind of progress I'd hoped. There's still Jaunts to be added (more than I care to admit). The web site's still undergoing some technical tweaking. The only thing I kind of have a handle on is story submissions. I only have one left in the queue to read.
Hopefully I'll make more progress this month so I can keep on track.
Also, as an FYI, Haunt Jaunts the blog may be moving to a new address also. I'll of course be sure to let you know if it does!
Hi there! My name is Courtney Mroch and I've had an interest in ghosts ever since I was 5 and a "ghost face" appeared on my sister's bedroom ceiling and started talking to me one night. (The only time that ever happened. But I've had other experiences since which have continued to fuel my interest in the supernatural and all things paranormal.)
I started working on Haunt Jaunts the blog in March of 2009. It became my "get me off the couch and headed in the direction of recovery" motivator as I endured chemo treatments after finding out I had Stage 2 B-cell lymphoma on December 31, 2008. (I know. Happy New Year and all that, right?)
It's also the companion project to my bigger vision: HauntJaunts.net, which I hope to officially launch in August or September 2009.
I'm happy to report that as of May 19, 2009 I'm in remission and am now free to pursue my passion in earnest. I'm 100% convinced that both Haunt Jaunts the blog and HauntJaunts.net have played a major factor in my recovery.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my blog. Happy Haunt Jaunting!
